About the Role
We are looking for a certified Chief Accountant who can run our accounting in a true Korean–Vietnamese hybrid style: fully compliant with Vietnamese regulations, while managing, reporting, and communicating the way a Korean company expects. You must be able to explain financial matters to Korean management with a Korean business mindset — clearly, precisely, and in native-level Korean.
- Take full charge of the company's accounting function: bookkeeping, monthly/quarterly/annual closing, tax filings, and statutory reporting under Vietnamese regulations (VAS).
- Run management accounting and internal reporting in the Korean corporate style, so Korean leadership can read and act on the numbers immediately.
- Operate a hybrid Korean–Vietnamese accounting workflow: Vietnamese statutory compliance on one side, Korean-style management reporting and standards (K-GAAP/K-IFRS familiarity) on the other.
- Explain accounting, tax, and financial issues to Korean management in native-level Korean, with a Korean business mindset and framing.
- Manage relationships with tax authorities, auditors, and banks in Vietnam.
- Build and improve internal accounting processes, controls, and documentation.
Requirements (Must-Have)
- Language & culture (mandatory): native-level Korean. You must communicate accounting and financial matters the way a Korean professional would, with full understanding of Korean corporate culture and expectations.
- Chief Accountant certificate (required): you must hold a valid Chief Accountant certificate (Chứng chỉ Kế toán trưởng) recognized in Vietnam.
- Korean-style accounting: hands-on experience with Korean corporate accounting practice and reporting formats; ability to keep books and produce reports Korean management can use directly.
- Hybrid capability: proven ability to run Vietnamese statutory accounting (VAS, tax, compliance) and Korean-style management accounting side by side.
- Explanatory skill: able to clearly explain accounting logic, issues, and options to Korean decision-makers with a Korean accounting mindset.
Nice to Have
- Experience as Chief Accountant at a Korean-invested (FDI) company in Vietnam.
- Working proficiency in Vietnamese and/or English.
- Experience with Korean and Vietnamese accounting/ERP software.
